PSM Consulting Services, Vice President of Operations Jan. 1988 - Present. Project Management, Consulting and Teaching. Recent assignments are as follows:

PSM Consulting. Developing business in Russia and the Ukraine. Have taught an increasing number of seminars on Project Management in Russia. PSM Consulting has a offices in Moscow and Kiev. Authored course materials that have been translated into Russian. Authored seven courses in Project Management and authored a book Preparing for the Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam, published by AMACom.  Assisted in the translation of the Guide to the PMBOK and its Glossary into Russian.

ESI International. Washington, DC. July 1998 to 2000. Instructor for Project Management courses:  "Project Management Fundamentals for IBM", "Finance for Project Managers", "Quality Control", "Preparing for the PMP Exam", "Risk Management".

American Management Association. June 1994 to present. Author and Instructor of Project Management courses. Authored a series of courses in Project Management to enable people to achieve competence in Project Management.  Soon publishing Preparing for the Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam, written by Michael Newell.

Orleans Parish Communications District. New Orleans LA September 1990 to 2000. Chief Engineer. Responsible for all engineering support for the City of New Orleans Emergency 9-1-1 system.  Duties include the project management of the design, development, installation and personnel training of a new system to computerize the telecommunications, dispatch, record keeping and history data for the Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services. These projects carry decision making responsibility for approximately $4 million of expenditures and a staff of 300 people at 4 locations. The position reports to the Director of Orleans Parish Communications District.

TASA. New York, NY. February, 1989 to present. Providing Expert Witness background information for legal cases. Providing expertise in telecommunications, project management and engineering.

LSU Executive Education. Baton Rouge LA. June 1989 to August 1999. Author and lecture a series of courses in Project Management. Courses are a combination of hands-on computer work and lecture. Courses included a 4 day  course in Project Management, a 3 day course in Advanced Project Management and a 5 day course for Preparation for the PMP Certification Exam.

Learning Tree International. Vienna VA. Faculty Member. January 1989 through 1995. Learning Tree offers short term professional courses and seminars worldwide. Teaching "Systems Engineering", "Effective Skills for Technical Managers", "Project Management", "Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE)".

UNO Metropolitan Center. New Orleans LA. June 1989 to present. Author, Lecturer. Prepare on site courses in Project Management for the New Orleans Business Community. Designed course curriculum for Project Management Certification Preparation.

Atomic Energy of Canada, Ltd. Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Management Consultant. January 1988 - February 1989. Project management responsibility for the planning and execution of a program to adopt project management techniques in AECL, a company employing 3,000 people and engaged in the business of selling automated special purpose machinery and nuclear power generating systems. The program involved the management of an implementation team. Reported to the Assistant to the President of AECL.
    Developed integrated nuclear power plant estimating system with labor and materials, cash flow analysis, cost analysis, etc.
    Developed labor forecasting system for support of project management organization. Assisted in hiring and then trained project management personnel to implement a conversion to a project management organization utilizing PSDI's Project/2 project management mainframe software program.

Senator Ben Bagert. New Orleans. LA. July 1988. Organized political campaign schedule using TIMELINE PC Based scheduling software. Trained the candidate's staff in the use of the software and also project management techniques.

Martin Marietta Michoud Aerospace, New Orleans, LA. Sr. Systems Engineer, Project Manager of Systems Engineering, June 1980 to January 1988.

Manufacturer of Space Shuttle External Fuel Tank. Responsible for managing the development of new computer systems for all of Production Operations. Supervised the development and implementation of computerization of Production Master Scheduling, Cost, Performance and Budget control Systems using PROJECT/2 and ARTEMIS two commercial software packages and GPSS computerized simulation techniques. Responsible for the strategic plan for acquisition of computer hardware and the development of new software packages.

Rogers Corporation-Engineered Products, Willimantic, CT. Manager of Advanced Product Development. June 1976 to July 1980.

Manufacturer of Molded Rubber Products. Direct engineering group in the design and development of improved rubber products primarily used in copier and word processing equipment. Work closely and directly with customers in analyzing their problems and then managing development of an improved product through design, prototyping and testing to production phase in. Several proprietary and patentable products representing vast improvements have been designed and built. Annual budget $750,000.

Senior Industrial Engineer. Responsible, plant wide for all plant layout, methods, time standards, work place tooling and cost reduction activities. Direct activities of one time study engineer. Coordinate methods development for new product introduction. Chairman safety committee. Write computer programs for manufacturing analysis. Justification and purchase of major capital programs.

Purdue University Faculty, Columbus, Indiana, September 1973 - June 1976.

Part time instructor, teaching in Engineering Department Taught courses in Statics, Hydraulic Power Systems and Plant Layout.
